You have landed on this page, most likely, because I gave you a business card with a website on it that linked here.

If you’re confused about the name, Hogarth Ferguson, let me explain. When I set out to start a website, I would have preferred to start one with my real name but, some gent already had purchased it and I doubt he would ever let it go. I refuse to put “photography” in my website name, too. Instead, I decided to create a fake name, one so great and uncommon that anything on the internet related to that name would link back to me, so I came up with this. If you google it, almost everything in the results leads back to me.

Lately, I decided that explaining that to people on trips when I hand them a card with one name and tell them my name is another, was getting a bit annoying, so I purchased the link on the card I gave you. This way, I can keep my made up (and amazing) name while still giving out cards with my real first name on it.
